Colorado Online Dating Safety Policy

Adopted Pursuant to C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5
Effective Date: January 1st 2025
This Safety Policy applies to users of Adam4Adam (“A4A,” “we,” “our,” or “the Service”) and is adopted in compliance with the Colorado Online Dating Safety Act, C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5. This policy supplements our User Agreement and Community Standards. In the event of conflict, this Safety Policy governs with respect to Colorado users.
Adam4Adam prioritizes user safety and reserves broad authority to take precautionary action whenever safety concerns arise.
(a) Prohibited Content and Conduct (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(a))
Adam4Adam strictly prohibits content or conduct that threatens public safety or personal safety. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: sexual exploitation or abuse of minors (CSAE); grooming; non-consensual sexual conduct; sexual assault; coercion; harassment; stalking; credible threats of violence; intimidation; hate-motivated threats; human trafficking; extortion; blackmail; impersonation; distribution of non-consensual intimate images; promotion of illegal activity; solicitation of minors; facilitation of prostitution involving minors; encouragement of self-harm; and any conduct that creates a reasonable risk of physical, emotional, or financial harm. Any such conduct result in immediate suspension or permanent removal and may be reported to law enforcement or appropriate authorities.
Adam4Adam maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding CSAE. Any suspected CSAE activity is immediately removed and reported in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
(b) Criminal Background Checks and Immediate Safety Suspensions (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(b))
Adam4Adam does not conduct routine criminal background checks on all users prior to granting access to the platform. Users must not assume that any member has undergone a criminal screening.
However, Adam4Adam exercises a safety-first enforcement model. If we receive any credible report, allegation, complaint, data signal, third-party notice, or other information suggesting that a member may pose a risk to others — including allegations of violent conduct, sexual misconduct, predatory behavior, exploitation, trafficking, fraud, or coercion — we immediately suspend the account pending investigation, even if the information has not yet been fully verified.
If credible evidence confirms that a user presents a safety risk, or if safety concerns cannot be reasonably resolved, the account is permanently banned. Members with known criminal convictions involving violence, sexual offenses, exploitation, trafficking, or serious fraud may be excluded from the platform at our sole discretion. Adam4Adam reserves the right to take precautionary action whenever reasonable doubt exists regarding a user’s safety risk. No user has a right to continued access where safety concerns are implicated.
(c) Identity Verification and Strict Age Enforcement (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(c))
Adam4Adam is strictly limited to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Users must affirm at registration that they are 18 or older.
Adam4Adam enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding minors. If we receive any report, allegation, signal, or indication that a user may be under 18 years old, the account will be immediately suspended pending verification. We would require submission of government-issued identification or other reliable documentation to confirm age and identity. Failure to provide adequate verification within a reasonable timeframe will result in permanent removal.
If an account is confirmed to belong to a minor, it will be permanently banned and may be reported to appropriate authorities as required by law. Any content involving minors will be removed immediately and reported in accordance with federal reporting obligations. Adam4Adam will also request identity verification in cases involving impersonation, fraud, safety complaints, or suspicious activity.
(d) Suspension and Permanent Ban Standards (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(d))
Accounts are suspended immediately upon receipt of credible reports of prohibited conduct, detection of policy violations, suspicion of criminal activity, or any circumstance suggesting a risk to user safety. Temporary suspension may occur during investigation or verification. Permanent bans may result from confirmed violations involving violence, sexual assault, non-consensual conduct, CSAE, repeated harassment, impersonation, fraud, trafficking, or other serious misconduct.
(e) Appeals Process (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(e))
Users whose accounts are suspended or banned may submit a written appeal to [email protected]. Appeals must include identifying account information and a detailed explanation. Appeals are reviewed in good faith; however, reinstatement is not guaranteed. Accounts involving CSAE, credible threats of violence, sexual assault allegations supported by evidence, trafficking, or ongoing safety risks are not eligible for reinstatement.
(f) Notice to Members Following Safety Reports (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(f))
When Adam4Adam determines that a report involves credible threats to user safety — including allegations of sexual assault, violence, impersonation, fraud, or exploitation — we may provide notice to members who have recently interacted with the reported account. Such notice may include general safety warnings without disclosing confidential or investigative details.
(g) Reporting Prohibited Conduct (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(g))
Users may report prohibited conduct through in-app reporting tools or by contacting [email protected]. Reports should include relevant usernames, dates, descriptions, and supporting evidence where available. Reports must be submitted in good faith. Knowingly false, retaliatory, malicious, or bad-faith reports may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
(h) Non-Consensual Sexual Conduct Notice (C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5(2)(h))
Engaging in sexual conduct without another person’s voluntary, informed, and ongoing consent violates the law and violates this Safety Policy. Such conduct may result in permanent removal from Adam4Adam and may subject the individual to civil or criminal liability. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Silence or lack of resistance does not constitute consent.

- Strict 18+ age restriction
- Zero-tolerance CSAE enforcement
- Immediate suspension when safety doubts arise
- User reporting and blocking tools
- Moderation and fraud detection systems
- Identity verification when warranted
- Cooperation with law enforcement where legally required
- Educational safety guidance encouraging public first meetings, independent verification, informing trusted contacts of meeting plans, and avoiding financial scams

Additional Legal Safeguards
Nothing in this Safety Policy creates a duty to monitor, investigate, or guarantee user conduct. Adam4Adam does not guarantee the background, identity, or conduct of any member. Online interactions and in-person meetings carry inherent risk. Users assume responsibility for their interactions. Adam4Adam reserves the right to modify this policy at any time to comply with evolving legal requirements.
